The USMC Trains for Afghanistan: “Clear, Hold, Build”

This slideshow highlights USMC training at 29 Palms in California. What is shown is training including dealing with Afghan elders and civilians. It is described by the USMC as “clear, hold, build exercise” as one would do in the current Afghan context.

The VMM-365 is featured in the training and is integral part of the entire approach to Afghan operations.

Included in the photos is a shot of 5 Ospreys landing in the same zone.
