C-17s Carry Vehicles into Theater

05/21/2010

According to General McNabb of  TRANSCOM, the M-ATVs are now flowing to the theater.  In an interview in March, General McNabb commented to SLD that “we were tasked to deliver 500 M-ATVs per month.  We have been on line to do so since November.  Even though the trucks were produced, the government did not yet accept them.  Obviously, we are not going to ship until we have accepted products. We are now delivering this month 500 M-ATVs with a combination of air and sealift.”

These photos show C-17 support activities for vehicle delivery.
