US Strategy Clarified in Military Exercise RIMPAC

One point made during the presentation is as follows:

“As Chinese military activities become more brisk, the meaning of participating in RIMPAC is changing greatly for Japan.  The Maritime Self-Defense Forces trained for the first time with the Australian navy, which has never happened before.  It is minesweeping training…. “
