01/12/2014: Lance Cpl. Dean O. Barrett, from San Diego, Calif., gathers accurate readings using a tactical water purification system Nov. 6, 2013, to determine the chemicals needed to properly purify seawater around a beach area on Tinian during exercise Forager Fury II.
The water provided will be the sole source of purified water used by Marines on Tinian throughout FFII.
Barrett is a water support technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
