Between 9 and the 20th of April, a large exercise was held at Leeuwarden Air Base in the Netherlands.
The exercise is called Frisian Flag 2018.
Participating aircraft from several countries in the world will be airborne twice a day.

Frisan Flag is designed to train pilots and crews for operating together in demanding combat situations
The participants were varied.
First of course are the Dutch with their own F-16s.
Second, the German Air Force sent Eurofighters.
Third, the French sent Mirage 2000 and Rafale fighter aircraft.
Fourth, the Spanish sent their F-18s.
The Poles sent F-16s and Mig-29s.
And the USAF sent 12 Air National Guard F-15s.
