KC-130J Fixed Wing Refueling for 2nd Marine Air Wing

02/14/2015: A U.S. Marine Corps KC-130 Hercules aircraft assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 252 is parked on the flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Dec. 2, 2014.

VMGR-252 conducted fixed wing aerial refueling exercises with Marine Attack Squadron 223 and Marine Electronic Warfare Training Squadron 1.

USS Carl Vinson Flight Deck Operations

02/10/2015: U.S. Navy aircraft launch from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) as the ship conducts operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.

The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is seen deployed to the area supporting maritime security operations, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.

02/05/2015: An F/A-18E Super Hornet from the “Royal Maces” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 27 launches from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) during the Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 fly-off.

George Washington and its embarked air wing, CVW 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

In the second photo, an EA-18G Growler from the “Shadowhawks” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 141 launches from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) during the Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 fly-off.

Night Airborne Ops Training

02/02/2015: Paratroopers from Company B, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, conduct a night airborne operation from a U.S. Air Force 86th Air Wing C-130 Hercules aircraft at Juliet Drop Zone in Pordenone, Italy, Nov. 18, 2014.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, capable of projective ready forces anywhere in the U.S. European, Africa or Central Command areas of responsibility within 18 hours.
