MDTC focuses on the integration of joint coalition forces that enhances the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. During this training regiment, the students displayed a mastery in air intercept control, basic fighter maneuvering and multi-plane engagement.

Bayou Thunder

Bayou Thunder was held off the coast of Louisiana, Jan. 29, 2019. 

The purpose of the exercise is to enhance Marine attack Squadron (VMA) 231’s air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities while also strengthening service interoperability with joint services. 

The aircraft are assigned to VMA-231, Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.
