First general officer completes F-35 qualification training

Maj. Gen. Jay Silveria, U. S. Air Force Warfare Center commander, salutes his crew chief, Airman 1st Class Patterson, 33rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, as he begins taxiing for his final qualifying flight in the F-35A Lightning II Sept. 26 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
