At WTI 2-17, the Marines tested an active denial system.
The Aviation Development, Tactics and Evaluation Department and Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron One (VMX-1) Science and Technology Departments conducted the tactical demonstration to explore and expand existing capabilities.
MAWTS-1 provides standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assist in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
