The first operational mission by Royal Air Force Tornado GR4 aircraft from Gioia Dell Colle, Italy,as part of Operation Ellamy, the UK contribution to help enforce the No Fly Zone over Libya in support of UN SCR 1973.
The operation was conducted less than twelve hours after arriving.
The aircraft arrived yesterday (Tuesday March 22nd), followed by a team of engineers and support staff.
