2013-11-26 The Japanese Self-Defense Force and U.S. Navy distributed relief from a UH-60 in Tacloban, Republic of the Philippines during Operation Damayan.
The USN has used the USMC forward refueling points to help in their helicopter relief operations.
In turn, the USMC has landed their Ospreys aboard the USS Washington during the operation.
This combined infrastructure has enhanced the capabilities of the helo and Osprey fleet overall.
